Name: Clarinet

Origins: The clarinet developed from a Baroque instrument known as the chalumeau and is similar in characteristic to the recorder.

Parts: Mouth piece, barrel joint, upper joint, lower joint, bell, keywork and tone holes.

Usage: In concert bands, brass bands, classical orchestras and as a solo instrument.

Reason for Selection: So that it can increase our chances of getting into the school's concert band. We will have more instruments that we can borrow to practise.
